My teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that building positive, trusting relationships with students is key to fostering an environment where they feel safe, valued, and motivated to learn. I prioritize creating connections with each student by understanding their individual needs, interests, and backgrounds, which helps me tailor instruction to engage them fully.

Through consistent communication, empathy, and encouragement, I aim to cultivate a classroom atmosphere where students are not only academically challenged but also emotionally supported. By integrating positive behavior strategies like PBIS and Conscious Discipline, I focus on nurturing a sense of belonging and self-worth, ensuring that all students can thrive in a collaborative and inclusive setting.

Reflecting on my teaching practices, I have found that building positive relationships has been a key success, allowing me to tailor instruction to meet students’ individual needs and fostering a safe, supportive environment. However, balancing individualized attention with the dynamics of a whole-class setting is an area of growth for me, especially when supporting diverse learning styles.

Moving forward, I aim to refine my use of behavior strategies like PBIS and Conscious Discipline, as well as explore new ways to integrate technology to further personalize learning and enhance student engagement.
